From around 10 million suspected vehicle impacts, Apple learned that more than 50,000 of them were accompanied by a call to 911. Both these devices will use inbuilt sensors like an accelerometer and gyroscope to accurately map out a crash and trigger a 911 emergency call.Īccording to the Wall Street Journal, Apple has been collecting a lot of data anonymously from iPhone and Apple Watch users.
